USW-121P
Meyer Sound USW-121P High-Power Subwoofer
Deep Low-Frequency Performance for Demanding Systems
The Meyer Sound USW-121P is a high-power, self-powered subwoofer designed to deliver exceptionally deep and controlled low-frequency reinforcement in professional sound systems. Built around a single high-excursion 21-inch driver and a powerful Class-D amplifier platform, the USW-121P extends bass response down to 20 Hz while maintaining the clarity and precision expected from Meyer Sound loudspeakers.
As the largest model in Meyer Sound’s new generation of USW subwoofers, the USW-121P draws inspiration from the flagship 2100-LFC series while providing a more compact and flexible format suited to theatres, performing arts venues, houses of worship, cinemas, and high-end touring systems.
Extended Low End with Exceptional Output
The USW-121P delivers impressive low-frequency impact thanks to its precision-engineered 21-inch transducer and advanced amplifier design. With a maximum linear peak output of 136 dB, the system produces powerful, room-filling bass while maintaining low distortion and excellent transient response.
Its operating frequency range of 20 Hz to 125 Hz allows the USW-121P to reproduce the deepest musical content and cinematic effects with authority. This extended bandwidth makes it an ideal companion for Meyer Sound full-range loudspeakers in both installed and portable reinforcement systems.
Compact Form Factor with Practical Installation Design
Despite its impressive output capability, the USW-121P maintains a relatively compact cabinet depth of just 24.5 inches, making it suitable for installations where space is limited.
A distinctive corner cut-out in the cabinet provides clearance for connectors and cooling airflow when the subwoofer is positioned against a wall, beneath a stage, or behind projection screens. This thoughtful design allows integrators to deploy powerful low-frequency reinforcement even in challenging architectural environments.
The enclosure itself is constructed from premium multi-ply birch with a durable textured finish and a robust powder-coated steel grille, ensuring reliability in demanding professional environments.
Integrated Networking and Advanced DSP
The USW-121P is the first Meyer Sound subwoofer to incorporate Galileo Extended Networking (GEN-1)technology, integrating networked audio and GALAXY-class DSP directly into the loudspeaker.
This architecture allows the subwoofer to receive both analog and AES67 network audio while providing sophisticated onboard processing. Engineers can apply parametric EQ, filters, delay, polarity, and other system adjustments directly within the loudspeaker, reducing the need for external processors and simplifying system deployment.
System monitoring and configuration are handled through Meyer Sound’s network ecosystem, allowing technicians to monitor system status and performance remotely as part of a fully integrated Meyer Sound system design.
Designed for Modern Sound Reinforcement
Unlike large array-subwoofer systems designed primarily for flown configurations, the USW-121P is optimized for ground-stacked deployments and discreet installations.
This makes it particularly effective in applications such as:
Performing arts theatres
Houses of worship
cinema sound systems
immersive and spatial audio environments
corporate and event sound reinforcement
In larger Meyer Sound systems, the USW-121P can also complement high-output subwoofers such as the 2100-LFC, adding powerful low-frequency reinforcement beneath flown arrays.
